UpStart Mobile's goal is to improve the transportation services available to passengers, drivers, and companies by making the entire process more efficient. We provide consumers with mobile, on-demand personal transportation: taxis, limos, shuttles, and all forms of hired vehicle offerings. Passengers can access these services through our Cabulous platform and mobile application. UpStart Mobile generates revenue with each ride, from service charges to passengers and drivers, payment fees, and service upgrades. As we gather analytics on consumer use, we're adding several new offerings. |
UpStart Mobile adds further value to the consumers' experiences with destination-specific ads, coupons, and promotional offers, while generating subscription revenue from fleets who use our dispatch platform. As a result, our business has the recurring revenue base and stickiness of enterprise SaaS, with the viral growth of mobile consumer applications. Traditional dispatch systems are based on proprietary, old-technology hardware, which cost $2000+ per vehicle, and require contracts of 5-7 years. With over 250,000+ taxis and nearly 400,000 limos operating in the US alone, the hired-vehicle market exceeds $39 billion, more than 2 billion rides annually. The global market is estimated to be more than twice the size of the US alone...today. With the US/EU market being calculated as less than 1% penetrated, the opportunity is largely greenfield. |
