UpStart Mobile has developed a device for drivers that meets their needs and streamlines the process of obtaining fares. The device provides drivers with an internet-based walkie-talkie system to communicate with passengers prior to pick-up. If the passenger hailed the cab through the web or the dispatch, the driver can use the system to record a message, and then call the passenger to replay it.
